‘Angels Clash’ - 36” x 24” - Acrylic on Canvas - Sometimes recently I feel like art is a necessity, such that I must be painting or a void appears in my heart. Despite this I feel blessed by this inner conflict. It’s as if I have something inside me that wishes to be expressed in a physical manner and I can use forms to bring that vision to life in a collage of colors and emotions. After all what else could be more worthwhile than brining something corporal into this world that is so often filled with fleeting distractions. The painting too will collect dust and dissolve, but now in this moment, it remains unchanging.

This concludes my first of two DVC Showcases for my senior capstone! Thank you to everyone who visited my showcase! And thanks to all the other Artists who I’ve worked with this year in the DVC Program. You guys are my rock.

‘Oracular Space’ - I’ve been working on this painting a while so it’s almost surreal I finished it. My initial plan was to finish before the semester started but being three days late doesn’t feel too bad. This one I think feels a bit more engaging in person but who’s to say. Sometimes I stare at my work too much that I can’t imagine what others perceive it as.
